The Pink Holiday Initiative
Cancer doesn't care about the holidays, but we do.

89% of patients reported that receiving gifts as part of supportive initiatives fostered a deep sense of belonging, making their holidays feel 'less lonely and more meaningful'. - MD Anderson Cancer Center
The Pink Holiday Initiative is a heartfelt gift-giving campaign dedicated to delivering thoughtfully curated Thrive Gift Boxes to breast cancer patients during the holiday season. Each box is filled with comforting essentials, practical items, and uplifting messages, designed to offer both physical support and emotional encouragement.
This initiative, a collaboration between Thandi Monee’ LLC and the Montgomery Legacy Foundation, partners with healthcare providers, hospitals, and breast centers to ensure these meaningful gifts reach the patients who need them most. The Pink Holiday Initiative serves as a reminder that even during the toughest times, no one fights alone.
Together, Let’s Make The Holidays a Little Brighter!
What is the Pink Holiday Initiative?

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 at 38 years old, I faced a year of treatments: 16 rounds of chemo, 30 days of radiation, and 4 surgeries—all during the holidays. I spent many of those days in hospitals, infusion centers, or recovering at home. But my faith, a resilient mindset, and the thoughtful gifts and encouragement from family and friends, got me through the most challenging times. Those little acts of love reminded me I wasn’t alone, and they gave me hope when I needed it most.
That’s why I created the Pink Holiday Initiative, to pass that same warmth and encouragement to others. With each gift box, filled with cozy essentials and affirmations, I hope to remind breast cancer patients that they are loved and supported, especially during tough times. Cancer may not care about the holidays, but we do. We’re here to provide support every step of the way.
